2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel and went to seek David and his men in front of the Wildgoats’ Rocks. (1Sa 26:2) 

New International Version

2 So Saul took three thousand able young men from all Israel and set out to look for David and his men near the Crags of the Wild Goats. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 So Saul took 3,000 of the best soldiers from the whole nation of Israel. He started out to look for David and his men. He planned to look near the Rocky Cliffs of the Wild Goats. 

King James Version

2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.
