19 Now there was no blacksmith to be found throughout all the land of Israel, for the Philistines said, “Lest the Hebrews make themselves swords or spears.” (2Ki 24:14) 

New International Version

19 Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, ‘Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!’

19 There weren’t any blacksmiths in the whole land of Israel. That’s because the Philistines had said, ‘The Hebrews might hire them to make swords or spears!’
